How to Report ID Theft

If you are a victim of Identity theft, it is important that you report it right away.
File a report with your local police department in which you live. In the event your locality does not have a dedicated police department, you will have to contact the Pennsylvania State Police.
Close any accounts that have been tampered with or opened fraudulently and file a report with your bank's fraud department

The Pennsylvania Department of Revenue has a Bureau of Fraud Detection and Analysis. It helps taxpayers who may be identity theft victims.
If you find a fraudulent PA tax return or Property Tax/Rent Rebate claim filed using your identity, report it to the Bureau of Fraud Detection and Analysis.
